Note : Here we assume we knew "watts" and how many "hours" we use equipment.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For rough calculator.....
if say X equipment use 1000kilo watt then how many units it will use???
Let's find it....
____W = ____ Hours( =1000hours should be - is rule for calculating) [Now convert this hours in day , you get time to use 1 unit ]
For example 1:
1 watt = ___ hrs , here 1000 hrs is answer and 1000 hrs means almost 6 weeks-1000 hrs means 41.6 days. so time to use 1 unit for 1 watt equipment like bulb is 6 WEEKS.
i.e. 1000 hrs ma 1 unit use thay.
For example 2:
1 kw = 1000w,
i.e.
1 kw = 1 hr, (bcz, 1000 w x 1 hr = 1000 thay). so time to use 1 unit for 1 kw equipment like 0.5 ton AC is 24 units per day.
i.e. 1 hr ma 1 unit use thay.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For calculating used units per day.
20W = 50hr , now 24/50 = 0.48 unit per day
1W = 1000hr , now 24/1000 = 0.024 unit per day

Energy consumption calculation
The energy E in kilowatt-hours (kWh) per day is equal to the power P in watts (W) times number of usage hours per day t divided by 1000 watts per kilowatt:
E(kWh/day) = P(W) × t(h/day) / 1000(W/kW)
